The Borough of the Bronx within New York City has, generally, a lousy reputation. However, my neighborhood, Riverdale, is quite an exception! It is known as a river community, overlooking the Hudson River. Commuting time into Manhattan is between 30 minutes to an hour, depending on which of the many options you chose for travel. The community has housing ranging from efficiency apartments to multi-million dollar estates. The housing prices are much more reasonable than living in Manhattan. Commercial offering, of course, are not nearly the same; however, there are supermarkets, cleaners, all essentials. It's a great option to consider if you have to work in Manhattan!
